PORTUGUESE CAFÉ

PASTEIS & COFFEE

PASTEIS & COFFEE. Small chain of Portuguese coffee places in St. Petersburg.

Working closely alongside the team to ensure a thoughtful meshing of the interior and identity concepts, we used colors from Portuguese azulejo tiling in composition with natural materials. Elements design based on brand-design created by Goryanin Brothers agency. Designed in harmony with the general corporative identity, visual and semantic unity of the personality of the organization.

Contrast between black menu cards and screen, interior details and white crafted tile background and walls was chosen for to mitigate bright colors and  overall composition. Warm light color gives a more emotional and cozy atmosphere.

My task was to design the overall visual identity based on pattern, logo and concept, including: brand book, packaging, signs, posters, branded products, set design for interior and key visual for web and print materials.

Posters

Portuguese sights and places of interest depicted on posters.
Only solid color and a small amount of details has been used. This stylistic effect attracts attention but doesn't distract from the main in a café. Printed on textured paper to emphasize vintage style.

Cup holder for drinking soup

Removable cup holders designed for branded cups. If you put a holder on a white coffee cup, it becomes a cup for soup. Different designs (color and illustration) display product and it content.

Set of concrete planters

Concrete white and gray flower pot sets with identity  embossed tile ornament.

Wooden food tray

Wooden tray for with engraved logo. With a place for production and waves design for easy hand grip.
